GATHERING KIDS VOLUNTEER

Gathering Kids Volunteers serve once every couple of months for our unique Wednesday night Gathering service. The responsibilities of the Gathering Kids Volunteer include taking care of infants (from 6 weeks old) to elementary aged children (up to 5th grade). Because attendance is usually light, the age range is vast, and the service is shorter, there are no lessons to teach. This time is generally a fun and social time for the children and can include games and other miscellaneous activities. Usually only one adult volunteer and one Youth Volunteer is needed for this service.

Time Commitment: Arrival time is 6:15 pm. Departure time is after all the children have been picked up and the room has been cleaned (7:45ish)

Skills Required: Patience, a smile, noise tolerance, and basic knowledge of little ones

Training:Reading the ThriveTots and ThriveKids Handbooks is the first step in the training process, then On-the-Job training will occur with the ThriveTots director.
